Overview
The course provides you with the skills necessary to adapt to the frequent changes in the world of Digital and IT. You will develop the personal and organisational skills required by employers and will be able to progress on to further education. This is an exciting course which includes Digital and IT related content, designed to help learners follow the IT or Computer Games route we offer at Keighley College.
This study programme is made up of the main vocational qualification, English and maths (if required), tutorial and work experience or employability skills.

Who is this course for?
The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Certificate Vocational Studies IT is primarily for all learners who want to continue their education and develop their Digital and IT skills for progression to further learning and, ultimately, to employment. -
Entry Requirements
Learners should be competent of working at Level 1 standard. -

The course is assessed in a variety of ways such as:
- Webpages, leaflets, a product etc.
- Word processed assignments
- Presentations
- Tutor observation
The course is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Careers/Progression
Learners who complete this qualification may progress to further learning and enrol on either BTEC Level 2 in Information and Creative Technology or BTEC Level 2 Games Design and Development.
