To develop a sound understanding of the checks, test and replacement methods involved in the maintenance of a motor vehicle.
  • Overview

    Candidates with develop a sound understanding of the checks, test and replacement methods involved in the maintenance of a motor vehicle. Candidates will be able to identify causes of fault and rectify them. Candidates demonstrate a knowledge of engine operation and the ability to strip down a vehicle and test engine operating systems.
  • Who is this course for?

    Candidates who wish to be able to work in a garage setting, able to check, test and repair a vehicle. Candidates who wish to further develop their diagnostics skill to move onto level 3 diagnostics, auto electrical and MOT testing.
  • Entry Requirements

    GCSE Grade 4 or higher in Maths and English

    A previous motor vehicle qualification.
