Overview
Students will gain an understanding of how to work safely in an automotive environment. Students will learn how to use and operate workshop equipment and how to select the correct tools. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how vehicle systems work, how to check them for wear and faults and how to replace components as needed. The qualification is coursework based, with both workshop reports and knowledge questions to complete. -
Who is this course for?
The course is for students who wish to start their journey to being a mechanics. This course is designed for 16+ who have no previous experience in the automotive sector. This is a practical based course for those who best learn by ‘doing’. However, some basic IT skills are essential. -
