These Level 3 technical qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training or study in your chosen sector. You will develop many competencies like: measurement, marking out and hand skills. Also, you will develop machining skills to include drilling, centre lathe turning and vertical milling. In addition to this due to demands in the area for multi-skilled engineers, you will also study assembly and testing and wiring and testing of electronic circuits.

As part of the program of study you will also have the opportunity go out on a work placement making you more employable, work with real employers on real industrial projects and work with experienced engineering tutors in a vocational setting.

Anyone who is taken on with less than a GCSE grade C in English Language, or maths will also be asked to improve this through further GCSE study, or equivalent Functional Skills.

You will also be asked to provide your own P.P.E for workshop tasks that include boots and overalls. Advice what will suit best will be given on interview/taster courses.

In your first year you will learn about major approaches to psychology, including exploring key items of research, learning about important studies related to that topic, and finding out how research is conducted in that area of psychology.
