Students' Union

Keighley College Student Union (SU) has its own committee but forms part of Leeds City College SU (LCCSU). All post sixteen students are automatically a member of the SU.

On students’ behalf the SU will:

  • Provide advice and support with college issues
  • Work with college to organise trips, events and activities
  • Support students to create and run societies
  • Represent students at senior college meetings
  • Work with the National Union of Students (NUS) to provide representation locally and nationally.

Have your voice heard!

Student Voice is at the heart of everything we do at Keighley College. Throughout your time at college we will encourage you to use your voice to make positive changes to the student experience.

Whether this is through surveys, feedback forms and petitions, becoming a Member of College Parliament, debating current issues or representing students as part of our fantastic Students’ Union you will have plenty of chances to have your voice heard.

The college is committed to listening and acting on student voice and will ensure that you see how your feedback makes a difference.

Each year the SU have a number of paid part-time and full-time posts which are elected by the student body. You can nominate yourself for these roles each year, so keep an eye out. If you don’t want to run, your voice still matters as you have a vote in who represents you in these roles.
