Women’s Hairdressing Level 2 Certificate PART TIME

  • Overview

    One afternoon into evening a week, you will learn the skills involved with hairdressing; including styling, colouring and other relevant areas.
  • Entry Requirements

    3 GCSEs at least grades 3-4 including Maths and English or a Level 1 qualification in Hairdressing with the appropriate level of English and Maths.

    • Advise and consult with Clients
    • Blow dry and style hair
    • Colour and lighten
    • Cut ladies hair
    • Health, Safety and Hygiene
    • Set and dress hair
    • Shampoo and condition, treat the hair and scalp
    • Style hair with electrical equipment
  • Benefits/Skills

    You will develop;

    Hairdressing up to Level 2 standard, communication skills, confidence skills, industry understanding, work experience and enterprises skills, competition opportunities, minimum standards and expectations within the industry, health and safety legislation within the industry, dexterity skills. E-learning is a key part of this course.

  • Careers/Progression

    You may progress into employment as a stylist or a Level 3 apprenticeship in a salon, or further progress to full/part time Level 3 at Keighley College.
