Overview
This programme is designed to provide all learners with the opportunity to transfer knowledge into the real world and experience that hands-on activity in the workplace. You will study the role of Management and Administration and the impact it will have in the business world.
Over the two years learners will take part in 45-60 days in an external industry placement, which will ensure that you develop and deepen your technical knowledge and skills, as well as behaviours appropriate to the professional business sector. Learners who successfully achieve the Management and Business specialism qualification (City & Guilds) will be counted in the employment ratios for the Business sector.
These Level 3 technical qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training or study in your chosen sector. The core knowledge and understanding will be assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project. In addition to this, English and Maths will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant context.
The specialist qualifications give learners lots of options. They are designed to provide progression into highly skilled employment, a higher apprenticeship or university. Taught in our newly designed 21st century learning environments, this qualification is equivalent to 3 A-Levels and provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to be successful and in control of their own learning. Learners will spend 80% of their time in college and 20% (45 to 60 days) on an industry placement with an employer. You will be allocated a personal tutor who will assist and support you throughout the programme.
