Overview
This practical, hands-on course is designed for adults who are currently unemployed and interested in starting a career in the construction industry. Participants will gain a solid foundation in key construction skills, workplace safety, and industry knowledge. Through a mix of classroom learning and practical activities, learners will explore topics such as basic tools and materials, site procedures, teamwork, and communication on-site. The course also includes guidance on employability skills, CV development, and pathways into further construction courses.
By the end of the course, participants will have the confidence and basic competencies needed to take the next step toward a career in construction.

Who is this course for?
Delivered over 6 weeks on a part time basis, the programme is ideal for those who want to build their skills and confidence quickly while fitting learning around other commitments. The focus is on developing essential knowledge of the construction workplace, understanding industry expectations and gaining the practical abilities. -

The course is designed for learners aged 19+ and unemployed. -

This is an introductory course therefore there is no assessment. -
