How to research family history

Level 1
Participants will learn how to effectively use birth and baptism records, marriage registers, death and burial records, census data, alternative sources, and wills and probate. The course also introduces sound research methodology and best practices to help extend and verify family lines. Between-session exercises provide hands-on opportunities to apply new skills and deepen understanding.

    The course will run for 4 weeks at 2 hours a week from 5.30-8.30. The cost is £75.00 per learner.
