Groundworkers are the first on-site, preparing the area for construction by interpreting design plans and working with supervisors and engineers to enable structural building work to begin.

Overview
Groundworkers support all stages of construction, working alongside various trades from initial site preparation to final landscaping. They install drainage, concrete, build roads and paths, and complete hard landscaping. Their skills allow them to work across different types of sites including housing, commercial, civil engineering, and general building. Groundworkers are employed by a wide range of construction companies, from small subcontractors to large contractors. -
Entry Requirements
The employer will agree to entry requirements for these apprenticeships. There are no formal entry requirements but GCSE grade 4 and above or equivalent in English and Maths would be an advantage. -
