Overview
The vocational Studies Study Programme is designed to help learners develop practical skills, confidence and an understanding of the world of work and study. There are four pathways which learners can choose to study, all of which involve a high level of practical experience:
- Introduction to Hair, Beauty and Creative Industries
- Introduction to Construction Industries
- Introduction to Digital/IT and Business Industries
- Introduction to Health Care and Child Care Settings

Who is this course for?
Keighley College is a fresh start, this course is a first step towards securing positive progression for your future , whether in future study or entering employment. Learners may have previous experience of home education, pupil referral units or bespoke provision with school. Whatever your journey has been so far, we are here to support you to achieve a qualification. -
Entry Requirements
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, potential learners must demonstrate they they can behave in a safe and responsible manner in workshops and classrooms. -
Assessment Types
Coursework is assessed through a variety of methods including presentations, reports, quizzes and practical experiences. English and maths are exam based. -
Units/Modules
Learners will work towards four core units and one vocational specific unit aimed at preparation for further learning at a higher level. As well as a comprehensive practical vocational experience and personal development, learners will work towards English and Maths qualifications. -
