The course provides learners with the skills needed to adapt to the rapidly evolving world of photography by planning, capturing, and editing photographic work. The content reflects current industry practice, giving learners a solid foundation in the techniques required to progress to further education with a clear understanding of the photography sector and the opportunities within it. Learners will also develop the personal, creative, and organisational skills valued by employers and colleges.
  • Overview

    Learners taking this qualification will study two mandatory modules:

    • Exploring and Developing Creative Media Skills
    • Personal Development

    These units give learners the opportunity to build core photographic techniques while strengthening the personal and organisational skills required by employers and colleges.

    This is an exciting, creative course that involves real-life photographic projects, including responding to client-style briefs, carrying out research, producing test shoots and contact sheets, and creating final edited images. Learners will also develop essential employability skills such as CV writing, completing application forms, and preparing for interviews.

  • Who is this course for?

    Candidates who are 16-18 years old.
  • Entry Requirements

    Competent of working at Level 2 standard.

    Four GCSEs at grade 3 and above, including English and maths.
