This qualification covers specific skills necessary to work as a senior men’s / barber in the hair industry. The qualification builds on existing knowledge and understanding of hair and develops more detailed and enhanced technical skills necessary for employment. Your skills and techniques will be assessed in a real working environment. -

Assessment Types
VTCT Skills qualifications are assessed and quality assured by centre staff. Work will be set to improve your practical skills, knowledge and understanding. For practical elements, you will be observed by your assessor. All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross-referenced to requirements listed in this record of assessment book. -
Units/Modules
There are four mandatory units in this qualification for you to study including:
- Provide client consultation services
- Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques
- Design and create a range of facial hair shapes
- Provide shaving services
- Design and create patterns in hair
- Develop, enhance and evaluate your creative hairdressing skills
