    Property maintenance operatives ensure that buildings are kept in good condition by keeping electrical, plumbing, plant, safety systems and equipment in working order. They undertake planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on buildings to maintain the appearance of the interior and exterior appropriately. Apprentices will also liaise with external contractor when necessary. Apprentices on this course will develop the skills and knowledge required to carry out these tasks.

    For anyone with a keen interest in plumbing, this course also includes some basic construction skills which will come in handy if you secure work on a site in the future.

    DIY Plumbing: This is a part-time evening course for adults only, running from 6-9pm on Wednesdays for 6 weeks.

  5. Plumbing and Heating Studies NVQ Level 2 Apprenticeship

    The course is designed to allow the apprentice to develop the theoretic and practical skills, which are required to succeed within the industry. Studies will include basic hot and cold water systems, central heating systems, scientific principles and the techniques used to install different systems, which use a multitude of materials. The apprentice will also have to show competence within the following practical tasks; the installation of a bathroom suite, the installation of a boiler and radiators, maintenance of float operated valves, taps and circulating pumps and the complete installation of a rainwater system.
