Sales Support and Customer Service Apprentice

This role involves aspects of both sales support and customer service. You will be helping the sales team with enquiries, paperwork, order processing, dealing with UK, European and Far East suppliers. You will also be dealing with clients, staff and suppliers, resolving issue as quickly and effectively as possible. You will be an important part of the team and have to be strong minded and focused.

The role requires an outgoing and independent person who can also work as an integral part of a small team.

You will be the “go to” person for all 3 people in our sales team, responsible for creating and maintaining support systems. You will need to be organised and prepared to learn. The Retail Factory will offer on-going support and training in the role. There will be periods when you will be expected to operate in the office on your own in a support role, answering the phones and directing accordingly and a good telephone manner is essential.

– Delivering Effective Customer Service
– Planning for Self Development in Customer Service

Functional Skills qualifications:
– Level 1 Functional Skill in English
– Level 1 Functional Skill in Maths

Future Prospects: To progress within the organisation if particular strengths are identified.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This applies to 16 – 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
