This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a hardworking individual to start their engineering apprenticeship within a successful engineering company based in Keighley, Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd (YPEL). YPEL specialise in CNC mill/turned parts using multi axis sliding head and fixed head lathes.

We have achieved a reputation for consistent high standards of workmanship and service in the field of sub contract Precision Engineering.

We are a family owned company who employ only apprentice trained skilled people who add a wealth of experience to our company. YPEL operate from modern premises and was founded in 2001.

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for an individual to start their apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer, within a successful engineering company based in Keighley.

Training will be day release at Keighley College and also on site at YPEL.

YPEL specialise in CNC mill/turned parts using multi axis sliding head and fixed head lathes.

All our lathes and milling machines are computer based with both machine based and off-line programming using FANUC, MAZATROL and DELCAM programming.

GCSEs grades A*- C in English, Maths and ICT are essential.

AS levels (or equivalent)

Acceptance is subject to college initial assessment and interview.

• Confident and well-presented.

Advanced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Framework – Pathway MMB – CNC Machining

Length of Programme: 36-48 months depending on previous experience and qualifications

Mode of delivery: Day Release

Course content: The Engineering Manufacture framework is designed to develop practical skills, knowledge & competence through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training and the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work context. On completion they will be capable of undertaking a range of duties at operator, semi-skilled, craft or technician level as appropriate within the following engineering sub-sectors: Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Metal goods and other transport equipment.

Functional Skills qualifications:

Level 2 Functional Skill in English

Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths

Level 2 Functional Skill in ICT
