Construction – Trowel Occupations Intermediate Apprenticeship – Brickwork (Level 2)

Throughout the course the apprentice will learn new skills on building sites and develop valuable work experience. Apprentices will set out basic brickwork structures and learn how to place, finish and render concrete.

Competence and Knowledge qualification:

-Level 2 NVQ City & Guilds Diploma in Trowel Occupations

-Level 2 City & Guilds Diploma in Bricklaying

Functional Skills qualifications:

– Level 1 Functional Skill in English
– Level 1 Functional Skill in Maths
+ Employment Rights and Responsibilities
+ Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Typical job roles will include walling, repairing structures, walls, chimneys, walkways and foundations. Work can range from house extensions to major construction sites.

E or above in Maths and English (Or Level 1 Functional Skills).

The course is delivered on a day release basis at the college.
