Construction – Trowel Occupations Advanced Apprenticeship – Brickwork (Level 3)

The Advanced Apprenticeship on Trowel Occupations will build on previous experience and training in construction. The apprentice will gain greater technical skills and carry out more complex building work.

The apprentice will render and finish surfaces, build brick and block walling, set out complex structures and work on a construction site to given specifications.

Competence and Knowledge qualification:

-Level 3 NVQ City & Guilds Diploma in Trowel Occupations

-Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Bricklaying

– Level 2 Functional Skill in English
– Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths
+ Employment Rights and Responsibilities
+ Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Typical job roles include decorative trade management and advanced brickwork.

Entry on to this qualification is subject to having a L2 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations.

Level 2 in Maths and English.

The course is delivered on a day release basis at Keighley College.
