This course is for students who wish to work as plumbers in the building services engineering sector. Please note: it does not make candidates fully qualified plumbers of plumbing heating engineers.

You will learn about various units, including but not limited to:

  • Health and Safety
  • Environmental Technology
  • Complex Cold Water
  • Domestic Hot Water
  • Sanitation and Drainage
  • Central Heating
  • Domestic Gas Principles


  • Design installation and planning
  • Career Awareness in Building Services

All assessments will be assessed by Direct Observation in practical sessions.

Theory units will be assessed by on-line assessment by completing 2 assignments


Classrooms and purpose-built workshops.

Candidates should already hold the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies or equivalent in order to complete the qualification satisfactorily.


For students who complete this course, they can then seek employment in the plumbing/building sector.
