Motor Vehicle – Maintenance & Repair Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)

During the course, apprentices will carry out routine vehicle inspections including servicing, repairing and replacing faulty components. The apprentices will be required to maintain records of the services they have efficiently carried out.

There are two pathways;

Competence qualification:

– Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence

Knowledge qualification:

– Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles

Functional Skills qualifications:

– Level 1 Functional Skill in English
– Level 1 Functional Skill in Maths
– Level 1 Functional Skills in ICT

+ Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Light Vehicle Service Technician: Carry out routine light vehicle maintenance and inspections including servicing, repairing and replacing faulty parts and maintaining records.

There are no formal entry requirements although GCSE grade A*-C in English and Maths would be beneficial. Candidates will undergo initial assessment to ensure this programme is suitable.

The course is delivered on a day release basis at college.
