Intermediate Apprenticeship in Wood Occupations (Level 2)
The course will cover disciplines such as roofing, first fix, second fix and manufacturing products. There are two routes the apprentice can undertake: Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery.

Level 2 NVQ City & Guilds Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction). (Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery)
– Functional Skills Level 1 in Mathematics
– Functional Skills Level 1 in English

E or above in Maths and English (or Level 1 Functional Skills).
Site Joiner: working on a construction site, domestic and commercial premises, first and second fixing doorframes, hanging doors, boxing pipes, window frames and floor joists.
Bench Joiner: Working in a workshop producing wood products, doors, window frames and staircases. The use of machinery in the production of products plays an important part within the joiners shop.
The program is delivered on a day release basis at Keighley College alongside employment.
