Intermediate Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy
The apprentice will gain both technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and personal skills. These are acquired through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training and academic study at college.
Apprentices will be required to carry out basic treatments in the salon which will include-
Waxing, hand and nail treatments, foot treatments, facial and skin care treatments, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, makeup application, basic massage treatments. The apprentice will work alongside the therapist in a salon and assist them with all beauty therapy services.

Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals
Apprentices will be visited approximately once a month in the workplace to carry out reviews and gather workplace evidence. It is a requirement that 20% of working hours per week is spent away from the working role to concentrate on any development activities set.
Via observed competency in completing practical tasks or completion of knowledge based booklets, externally set exam paper, production of work documents and writing reports evidenced through an online portfolio and completion of and end point assessment.
No formal entry requirements however grades A*-C would be preferable.

The course is delivered on a day release basis at Keighley College alongside full time employment.
