Improving Operational Performance – Fabrication and Welding Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)
The Fabrication and Welding Intermediate Apprenticeship has been designed for individuals whose role involves dealing with general fabricated items ranging from catering equipment, ductwork and canopies for hotel kitchens to structural components such as building conversion steelwork to off shore oil platforms and subsea components. The Level 2 Certificate is aimed at individuals who undertake a broad range of activities that are often less routine and demand some level of independence or responsibility.

Fitter Welder, Pipe Fitter, Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Worker, Welder/Fabricator (thick plate – semi skilled).
Entry on to this qualification is subject to initial assessment. GCSEs grades A*-C in English, Maths and ICT are essential.
One day a week in your chosen campus and basis of application in a supportive learning environment.
For the rest of the week the apprentice will be in paid employment within a relevant establishment. The apprentice will be given the opportunity and support to practice and develop the newly acquired knowledge and skills.
