Information Technology BTEC Level 3 Diploma in IT (QCF) – PART TIME

The course provides you with the skills necessary to adapt to the frequent changes in the world of computing. You will be taught 12 units over the two years looking at things such as, Information Systems, IT Systems Troubleshooting and Repair, Installing and Upgrading Software and Digital Graphics.

Please note, this course is only available for students aged 19 and over at the start of the course, and is an evening class.

  • Overview

    The BTEC Level 3 Diploma encompasses the essential skills, knowledge and understanding needed for learners to gain confidence and progression. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for progression within education or into employment in the appropriate vocational sector, and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to study a chosen area of the technical sector in detail or who want to focus on employment in their chosen area. Additionally, you will develop the personal and organisational skills required by employers and universities.
  • Entry Requirements

    Competent of working at Level 2 standard

    Preferable English and Maths GCSE at grade 4

    Subject to aptitude test

    • Word processed assignments
    • Tutor observation

    The qualification is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. At the start of the course your teachers will go through the BTEC assignment rules.
