The Ascentis Level 2 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Skills for Employment in the Construction Industries provide the learner with an excellent introduction to the theory and practical skills needed to work in the construction industry in a variety of occupational areas to include joinery and plumbing. This will enable learners to make informed decisions on whether to progress with further training and employment within these areas.

  There are no formal entry requirements but applicants must have a commitment to learning. You will be interviewed for your suitability.

  If you are under 19 and you do not already have English & Maths GCSE grades 9-4 or equivalent you will be required to undertake GCSE or Functional Skills alongside your main qualification.

  Assessment is a combination of internal assessment and practical task-based assessment • There is an emphasis on practical skills through the demonstration and assessment of these skills
