Advanced Electro Technical Apprenticeship (Level 3)
The apprentice will gain both technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and personal skills. These are acquired through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training and academic study at college.
Apprentices will be required to install, repair and maintain electrical systems in all environments. They will be able to work independently without immediate supervision in an efficient manner.
Roles will include to contribute towards the designs of electrical systems and work on testing devices and appliances whilst adhering to safe work practices. They will also use engineering knowledge and understanding to apply their technical and practical skills and be able to contribute to the development, design, manufacture, construction and maintenance of products.

Level 3 Electrical Installations Standard
Functional Skills qualifications:
– Level 2 Functional Skill in English
– Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths
Typically job roles would include; Installation Electrician, Maintenance Electrician.
Entry onto this qualification is subject to successful completion of initial assessments. GCSEs grades A*-C in English, Maths and ICT are essential.
The course is delivered on a day release basis at college.
