    This standard develops knowledge and skills relating to the Early Years Educator (i.e. those working with children from birth to 5 years, and gaining knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years, within a setting which provides care and education for children across this age range. This Apprenticeship pathway is suitable for those looking to join the Early Years Workforce and those already working in the sector.

    The apprentice will gain both technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and personal skills. These are acquired through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training and academic study at college.

  2. Advanced Apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding

    Multi-Positional Welders will have the skill to produce good quality welds in pipe and/or plate using three welding process/material type combinations (TIG, PAW, MMA, MIG/MAG, FCAW) and (Carbon and Low Alloy Steel, High Alloy Ferritic/Martensitic Steel, Austenitic Stainless Steel, Nickel and Nickel Alloys, Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys) covering all welding positions (Downhand, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead, Inclined).

    Apprentices should be able to position, assemble, prepare and check the welding equipment and also receive, handle and maintain consumables. They will prepare, check and protect materials and work area ready for welding when at college. Apprentices will weld preparation and assembly prior to welding and accept for production.

    They should complete progressive and final checks on the finished weld prior to release for formal inspection and report into the production control system. Students will ensure that health and safety requirements are fully accounted for all of the above.

    This two year course is aimed at people who want to work with children and young people. It is a full time course aimed at 19+ learners.  It is suitable for those who wish to complete work placement, are in employment or working in voluntary placements.

    The course is ideal in giving you an insight into the various career options in IT.

    You will have the opportunity to study new skills in areas such as Computer Games Design, Database Design, Graphics, Web Design and other units that will prepare you for employment in the IT industry.

    The course is equivalent to 2 A levels.

    If undertaking the Level 2 course has developed your interest in becoming a counsellor, this is the next step for you. After completing the Level 3 qualification, you will be able to register with a counselling organisation and start to gain practical experience.

    Please note that this qualification is only open to students aged 19 and over.
