Keighley College are currently recruiting an apprentice electrical engineer to join Byworth Boiler Hire Ltd to build, install, service and maintain industrial mobile steam and hot water boilers.
Byworth Boiler hire is a leading provider of mobile steam & hot water generation plant. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team to assist with the service and repair of the existing hire fleet and the fit out and installation of new mobile hire units.

Byworth Boiler hire is a leading provider of mobile steam & hot water generation plant. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team to assist with the service and repair of the existing hire fleet and the fit out and installation of new mobile hire units.
The role will involve working on existing industrial plant consisting of burners, pumps, valves, control panels and a variety of instrumentation. We also manufacture our own control panels for new build units and upgrades of existing plant and are currently exploring the use of plc controls and remote monitoring systems.
The role will be based in our hire yard here in Keighley, working under the supervision of our lead electrician but will on occasions involve work on site. In addition, we will benefit from working alongside our sister company, Byworth Boilers Ltd, whereby we will rotate apprentices to provide a broader training and greater knowledge of steam plant.

• Interested in mechanics, electrics and engineering principles
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Good Communication Skills verbal and written
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
• Innovative in approach
• Good at solving problems and identifying solutions logically
• Self motivated
• Keen to learn and progress through study and on the job training
Interested in engineering and the operations of machinery, proactive and being able to work as part of a team.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
