Apprentice Administrator

A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy accountancy practice and to work as part of a team to provide administrative support as required. You will learn a wide variety of office skills working with our friendly and highly professional team and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

We are a full service firm of Chartered Accountants providing a wide range of services to small and medium sized businesses and their proprietors. We pride ourselves on our imaginative, prompt and personal approach and can guide you towards a successful future.

We have an excellent relationship with the business community including bankers, solicitors and surveyors, this helps us understand what’s happening in those sectors and means we have a real commercial understanding.

The duties will include a wide variety of administration tasks including reception duties and answering the telephone, scanning and filing of correspondence and working paper files, together with the processing of various letters to clients.

Skills Required

You should be able demonstrate good communication both verbal and written and be conscientious in the approach to your work and your development. You should be able to work as a member of the administration team and have good IT skills – Excel / Word.

Qualifications Required

GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English.
Acceptance is subject to college initial assessment, and interview.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This applies to 16 – 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
