Apprentice Welding and Fabrication Engineer – Metalcraft Europe

Metalcraft Europe manufacture fabricated metal products for a vast range of companies. We have a strong history of employing apprentices and offer a number of benefits to our apprentices such support with travel costs. Our training is second to none and will provide you with the skills and knowledge you require to become a top class welder fabricator.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Our experience is vast in all industries. Metalcraft are a highly respected manufacturer of all metals and are specialists in Stainless Steel items.

All our employees have extensive knowledge of TIG Welding procedures, materials, working practices and work place disciplines. We manufacture high quality Food Grade 316 Stainless Steel Fabrications for various blue chip clients within the food processing industry.

Furnace

  • To assist a sheet metal worker in fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of equipment, products and structures in workshop and on site.
  • Using TIG and MIG welding processes
  • To learn how to read and follow engineers drawings and technical plans
  • Operation of various machinery including Brake Press
  • Basic hand tool operation

Working Week :Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 Friday 07:00-15:00
Salary :£136.50 Per Week

Skills Required

Logical thinking with the ability to solve problems. Ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail. Effective communicator.

Qualifications Required

GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English AS levels (or equivalent).

Acceptance is subject to college initial assessment, and interview.

Personal Qualities

Punctual, reliable, hard working with a flexible attitude and conscientious approach to work and study.

Framework title: Advanced Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding
Advanced Apprentices benefit from on-the-job assessment but also attend college on a day release to gain knowledge qualifications; this framework lasts up to 3 years.
