European Projects

Working with students get access to a range of European projects. With a proven record of securing European funding to run work placements & partnerships projects in a variety of European countries.

Work placements typically last for three weeks & provide students the opportunity to develop both professional & soft skills.
Partnership projects allow both students & staff to work in collaboration with European partners to develop vocational skills, educational tools & in doing so share innovative ideas & approaches.

Students are supported to participate in these placements but have to meet the selection criteria of their curriculum area. Students are accompanied by a member of staff in the first week of the placement and for the second and third week are expected to fulfil their placement requirements with the support of the European host. European Funding fully supports the travel, accommodation and living costs for each participant.

Current Opportunities for Transnational Work Placements and staff training:

KA1: VET Mobility, The Sky is the Limit: Recognising the Potential of VET Learners Through Engagement in European Mobility.

Leeds City College has been successful in securing funding of over £500,000 which will allow 254 participants to complete placements in 14 different European countries with 27 partners.

This funding is for student placements and staff training
