Do you have some experience in designing and creating your own patterns and garments and want to take your skills to another level? Are you ready to learn how to design and make your own clothes? Then this is the course for you. Starting with basic pattern blocks, you will learn the art of grading and manipulation to alter the style, shape and fit. This class is suitable for students who have made simple garments in the past.

  • Measuring for patterns
  • Drafting simple blocks
  • Manipulation and combination of blocks
  • Sleeves, cuffs, pleats, facings
  • Adding seam allowances

Non vocational assessment.

In our state of the art Textile Academy room with both domestic and industrial machines available plus our large cutting table.

This course is suitable for those who have some experience of working with patterns and fabric.
